La Sirena II (The Mermaid)
Everything you ever heard is true.
Waves of raven hair ripple down her spine,
nipples point to the sky like absurd
compasses. You feel the crack of bones
against rock. Beauty blinds
like a blade of abalone in the sun.
the light off every one of her scales,
a star of your circumscription.

Death Soft Lips By Jon Yungkans
death soft lips
not cold or warm
your touch lacks
emptiness you
do not hold stare
into my eyes
wonder what i
think yet know
pure silence
Gorgeous in their beauty
Are the flowers of the cherry:
Are they not magnificent in their dignity
The carriages of the royal bride.
– Shih Ching, China’s oldest poetry book.
Woman
Her approach was elegant but unpretentious
Her soul was weaved in moons and stars
Her gardens enchantedly flourished
Her brooks danced to wind guitars.
Her fingertips stirred the rivers
Her whispers spoke peace upon the earth
Her smile illuminated the darkness
Her hands fought death and welcomed birth.
Her eyes held and calmed the anxious
Her heart was filled with twelve bright suns
Her language was universal
Her name was given… Woman

Love is not a thing to understand.
Love is not a thing to feel.
Love is not a thing to give and receive.
Love is a thing only to become
And eternally be.
– Siri Chinmoy
In the midst of sorrow
my life seems swallowed by
an abyss of sadness
where there’s no way to escaped.
But when you came into my life,
you’ve shone my world with hopes and brought me to life.

after summer’s rain
God’s promise is remembered

Take, Oh Take Those Lips Away
TAKE, O take those lips away
That so sweetly were forsworn,
And those eyes, the break of day,
Lights that do mislead the morn:
But my kisses bring again,
Bring again—
Seals of love, but seal’d in vain,
Seal’d in vain!
– William Shakespeare

She is everything that you have feared
She is the beast
She is the devourer of souls
She is the monster that lurks at the water’s edge
She is all.
Water reflects sky
summer of my soul open
under the spell still

Are you coming out tonight?
These bad ideas you’re thinking
It’s 3am in the morning
Nowhere am I going just want to be by your side
Sleep tonight by me
If those I loved were lost
The Crier’s voice would tell me —
If those I loved were found
The bells of Ghent would ring —
Did those I loved repose
The Daisy would impel me.
Philip — when bewildered
Bore his riddle in!
If those I loved were lost by Emily Dickinson
If those I loved were lost
The Crier’s voice would tell me —
If those I loved were found
The bells of Ghent would ring —
Did those I loved repose
The Daisy would impel me.
Philip — when bewildered
Bore his riddle in!
